The centerpiece of the great room is an exquisite floor to ceiling window. Oak timber trust beams and tall niches hide fiber optic cables that create drama on the ceilings and will illuminate future artwork. The walnut and oak parquet floor is a replica of an antique and features a Greek Key border – both of which were specifically sized so the design is never compromised. Special touches include heat vents which were laser cut into the border, so that they almost disappear. The limestone fireplace features a stylized diamond design and again underscores the use of the diamond motif throughout the house and transom windows. |
